Valentine’s Day
I have collected cereal boxes so that our class will be able to make Valentine’s Day mailboxes. We will do a Language Arts activity to decorate these in class. I know your child will also want to make Valentines cards or goodie bags for their friends to go in the boxes. If your child decides to participate in this activity, a card or goodie bag must be made for everyone in the class. I have included a list of your child’s classmates below. Have fun!
Lou Gayathri Abigail Diana Olivia Trent Westen Jarius Ashton Summer Nia
Bria Swabrina Camille Mikey Khronus Jayden Melinah Joseph Victoria Gia Christopher
Report Card Envelopes
Please remember to return the golden envelope and the signed signature card back to school. The report card itself is yours to keep.
The 100th Day of School!
Extra Homework Assignment: Your child will make a 100th day creation made out of 100 pieces of a material that they choose. Have your child collect 100 of any item (paper clips, cereal pieces, stickers, etc.) and create a design using the collected items on a large piece of construction paper or poster board. A tree made out of 100 paper clips, an igloo made out of 100 sugar cubes, a night sky painting made with 100 stars, etc. Send your creation in by Wednesday, January 20th. Creations will be shared with the class on the 100th day and hung in the hallway for all to see. Have fun counting and creating!
We Are Learning Our Address and Phone Number!
Please work with your child on learning their address and phone number. We will be working on these in class as well. Not only is this information on the report card for this nine week quarter, but it is also great information for your child to know just in case of an emergency.
Don’t Forget!
There is no school Monday, January 18th. Happy Birthday Martin Luther King Jr.!
Have a wonderful week!
