Meet Mrs. Romer
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to my Kindergarten class!
Hello, my name is Kimberly Romer and I am thrilled to be your child’s kindergarten teacher! I hope each of your families had a wonderful and relaxing summer and are ready to jump into a fantastic year of learning! Although, before we go there, I thought I would take a moment to share a little bit about myself.
I am a native of Georgia and a graduate of Kennesaw State University. At KSU, I majored in Early Childhood Education. Since finishing my degree in education I have been lucky enough to have spent time in every grade level Pre-K through Third. This will be my twentieth year teaching and I’m so glad to be teaching Kindergarten again this year. After acquiring my teaching degree I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and stayed there for eleven years. I absolutely love Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!). Maybe it’s because that’s where I met my husband, Kevin.
Kevin is a Solutions Architect at Verizon Wireless. In his spare time he loves reading (he can gobble a book in no time), playing on his iPad, and watching science fiction movies.

Kevin and I have one daughter, Abby, who is eight years old and beginning Third Grade this year! She enjoys horseback riding, gymnastics, and swimming (as I type this paragraph she is telling me what to say). She is also very much into drawing, reading, and playing with ALL her pets.
We have recently adopted 3 beautiful children: Allie (9), Katie (5), and Jake (4). Our house is very busy place!

As for me, well, I also have a cat named Millie...
...and one named Cooper, both of whom I just adore.
This is our dog and her name is Dixie. She's a Lab so she's a little bigger now.
I love chocolate (Lindor Truffles are my favorite), ice cream, and coconut cream cake. My favorite restaurants are Texas Roadhouse, P.F. Changs, and Chick-Fil-A. If I were not a teacher I think I’d be a professional shopper. Target, Amazon, QVC, and Walmart are the places I go most frequently. I also enjoy exercising, reading, spending time with friends and family, and spending time at church.
I am also blessed to be a part of the amazing team of Kindergarten teachers here at King Springs. My goal is to provide a positive and nurturing environment for each child where learning is engaging and fun. I also enjoy providing my students with many hands-on learning experiences and hope each child feels a sense of excitement and success as a learner. I know that this is going to be a fantastic year filled with many wonderful kindergarten memories. I look forward to working with you and your child this year and getting to know each of your families!
Sincerely,
Kimberly Romer
