Mrs. Romer’s “Top Apple” Behavior Plan
This system is a positive and effective way for your child to
work toward a goal each day and take responsibility for his/her actions. We love to give lots of praise in
kindergarten along with encouragement to make good choices.
Our “Top Apple” behavior system is outlined for you
below:
Golden Apple: means your child has had an exceptional
day and has gone above and beyond the role of a classroom citizen! Golden Apples are “extra special” and are given out for acts of kindness, being a teacher’s helper, exceptional work habits, etc.
Green Apple: means your child has had a terrific
day and has followed all the rules and demonstrated good citizenship and self-control. Way to go!
Yellow Apple: means your child has had several
verbal reminders to follow classroom/school rules.
Red Apple: means your child has continued
to have difficulty following classroom rules. A written note
will be enclosed in your child’s folder explaining what rule your child continues to have difficulty following. Please take the time to sit down with your child and discuss classroom expectations.
A calendar for each month will be placed inside your child’s
Take Home Folder. Your child’s “Top Apple” behavior will be reported to you with a colored apple he/she earned for that day.
