The Romer Review

Homework
Rocket Reader – Please make sure that it is turned in by Monday, November 30th.
Math Skills – We have just begun to learn how to add. Each week I will post a few addition facts that I would like your child to memorize. You can use flash cards, play games, etc. to help your child along. Look at these as “sight words” for math. The first addition facts are posted below.
Math Facts – Start with these facts. We will add a few more math facts to the stack as time goes on.
0+0= 1+2= 2+1= 1+3= 3+1=
***Don’t forget to be working on your Six Flags Reading Log! J
Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday, November 18
I hope you all are going to be able to make the holiday feast. Please come about 15 minutes early if possible and join us in the classroom. The children have been working very hard on their special project “Now and Long Ago” and would like to show you all they have learned. Hope to see you then! J
Sack Lunches
On Thursday, November 19th we will be eating sack lunches in our classroom. I am sending home a sign up sheet that will help us determine how many sack lunches that the cafeteria will need to make. Please fill out the sheet and send it back by Monday, November 16.
Book Swap
Every year, during our Winter Holiday Party, the kids have fun participating in a book swap. Girls purchase a book for another girl and boys purchase a book for another boy. The price should range from 4-7 dollars. Bring the book to school wrapped in paper with your child’s name on it and we will have lots of fun playing a game and swapping books. If for some reason you are unable to send in a book, please let me know.
