The Romer Review

Homework Assignments
Rocket Reader – There will be no Rocket Reader for the month of December. We will start again in January.
Math Facts to Practice – Here are some math facts to start practicing and memorizing. We are working toward fluency with these facts. Your child should be able to see the problem and know the answer within just a few seconds, however, while some children are ready for this, other children may need additional help with basic addition and subtraction concepts. Please feel free to work with your child in a way that best suits your child’s needs and at your child’s own pace. Start with these facts. We will add a few more math facts to the stack each week.
0+0= 1+2= 2+1= 1+3= 3+1=
Book Swap
Every year, during our Winter Holiday Party, the kids have fun participating in a book swap. Girls purchase a book for another girl and boys purchase a book for another boy. The price should range from 5-8 dollars. Bring the book to school wrapped in paper with your child’s name on it and we will have lots of fun playing a game and swapping books. If for some reason you are unable to send in a book, please let me know.
Please send in all books by Monday, December 14th.
Angel Tree
Please see the flyer/permission slip for the Angel Tree. Children will be able to choose angels off the tree before school this week. All Angel Tree donations are due by Wednesday, December 9th.
Have a wonderful week!
